I've gone CACA for hair dying! (Procedure!)

Hey guys! Happy hoildays and all that jazz` ! It's almost a NEW year, which means resolutions and lots of fun times! I found it a bit too late for me to do new year looks, so I'm probably skipping that! :( However there will be more exciting posts after the new years!

Wanted to show some of the liquid, glitter eyeliners I got!
Not so bad, but not so fab either! I'd give it a 3/5 :S

So I defs love dying my hair, but I DISLIKE the fact that the chemicals are damaging, and enemies to my hair! So what do I do?
.
.
.
BUY LUSH'S CACA hair dye! It's made with stuff that's all natural like cocoa butter, henna etc, which is much more safe than using drugstore alternatives which leaves stingy smells and dry, broken hair. I believe there are 4 color choices, my local lush carries caca noir, brun, rouge, marron. Definitely check them out if you're planning to dye your hair the more natural way, and want a more subtle change rather than something drastic. It also leaves your hair feeling fab, and shiny! AND BTW THIS IS NOT A PERMANENT HAIR DYE! It is about 20.95 for 6 blocks! And you only need 3 or less for each application. Totally feel free to split among your friends to reduce costs

Here is my procedure, kinda like a tutorial! ;) Enjoy!

The materials

You can grate your peices (Which I recommend), OR chop it! ( TAKES A WHILE TO MELT !)

And Voila! :)

I add some sizzlin hot espresso coffee, to darken the color! ( I totally recommend coffee instead of just plain water, just cause it helps ease the smell which people had said caused them severe headaches! :S)

After a few minutes :)

As I waited, I applied some Lemony Flutter I have in a sample, and just apply it on my hairlines to prevent the henna from dying my skin

Yay! I believe this is the cake batter consistency that is now ready!

Application time! You can get the brush from dollar stores, or department stores.

Apres a few hours.. Thisi s the result! A subtle darkening and glistening of the darkest chocolate / lightest black. :)

OH and as I was waiting for my hair to dry for a few hours . . .

She was just a tad freaked out, on how I looked.. Probaby like a psycho monster. .

So Would I recommend THE CACA HAIR DYES?

Well it entirely depends! Overall, it is an experience worth trying, however please read the cons and pros of this, before you get upset after the results.

PROS
-leaves hair soft
-nice, natural color change
-shiny, fuller hair
-no chemicals
-blocks last a long time.
-2/3 blocks is PLENTY.

CONS
-a bit pricy, ( try to split with friends)
-takes hours to keep on, about an hour or so to actually do
-quite messy
-smell is a very 'herbal' (could cause headaches), so MIX WITH COFFEE!
-adds quite a bit of "weight" on your head as you are waiting
